Reflection week 2
Honestly, for the second class i have decided to myself that i want to be silent in the class...huhuhu .For the second week, we have election to choose a leader for the group. So, it will be easier to us if each group have their own leader.
So, the class has chosen two people as candidates to be a leader which are Hazwan and Faiz. Both of them are very suitable to be a good leader because i have known them since 4 years ago. But, finally we have choose Hazwan as the leader.
Frankly speaking, i am less confident in this subject because i am quite weak in tecnology. This is because i am Kampong Boy and i rarely used computer/technology. So, "this is new" for me...hahaha...
More frightening, on that week, the lecture told us about how to type faster in other word; we need to be a type master. I know who am i, i am so slow in typing. But, i need to take this opportunity to learn and improve myself. So, i hope that the lecturer can guide me.
Tq to Pn Foziah...huhuhu
this is our leader, nice pic right??
An overview how to type faster
Learn How to Type Faster With These 8 Sites
As some of the readers (and editors) of my articles will attest to, my typing skills leave something to be desired. While I use all of the fingers of my right hand, I only use the index finger of my left. Yep, I’m a horrible typist, and I won’t even try to cover it up. However, it’s never too late to try and improve; here’s a couple of sites that will help you type better and faster in no time.
10-Fast-Fingers.com – A 10-step typing tutorial program that teaches you more finger placements in each lesson, and then tests you on them. When you’re all done there is a speed test to see how you improved.
GoodTyping.com – Has over 27 lessons, offers 18 different keyboard layouts and is available in multiple languages.
Learn2Type.com – Offers a typing test to test where you are skill wise, and besides teaching just the QWERTY keyboard setup, they also offer AZERTY and Dvorak layouts. Also has lessons for kids as it’s never too early to start learning to type.
PowerTyping.com – Okay, so maybe typing sites aren’t all fancy with rounded corner logos, or gradient images, but did you come to look at the pretty, or to learn to type? This site focuses on QWERTY and Dvorak keyboard layouts.
Typing-Lessons.org – While the site has a very 1990’s feel to it, the site explains this is on purpose so as not to distract you from the purpose of the site which is to teach. Teaches you all th rudimentary skills you need to get started on the road to being a better typist.
TypeOnline.co.uk – Offers lessons on normal keyboard placement, and has practice lessons for touch typing and speed tests. Also offers a nice selection of information on safe typing so you don’t develop things such as Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.
TypingWeb.com – A full-featured online typing tutor with lessons, games, statistics to track your progress and more. The system is free for individuals, and they do have packages available for schools and companies for a fee with group progress reports.
Bonus: after you’re done with all these, you can have some fun with Qwerty Warriors, a strangely addicting game that forces you to type faster and faster before the enemies swarm you.
Reflection week 1
First week in University Of Malaya is quite messy for me. Thinking about the elective subject that i have to choose is also quite difficult for me...in this semester we need to take PBEY 3201 - Using and Developing Resources for ESL Classroom..."Owh, what kind of subject is this?" this is come to my mind on the Tuesday. I already know that Pn. Foziah bt. Mahmood will teach us. Another question comes to my mind..............."Owh, how is she?” After enter the class, i am so released when she gives us a very welcoming smile.
Then she told us that we need to create a blog. Before this i only heard about this word, but in this semester i will have my own blog...could you believe it???hahaha..This is new thing to me and i know it will give benefit to my future as a future teacher. Apart from that, i also heard that nowadays each teacher should have their own blog.
For the first week we already have been given a few task, first we need to buy 8GB pen drive, second, Get a CS3 adobe Photoshop installed in our pc's or laptop's and lastly we need to create our own blog. For me, the task is not too difficult and maybe it is because this is the first week, week of introduction.
On that week, we have been divided to two groups because the computers are not enough for us...during the briefing, maybe because i talk too much, so she labeled me as "trouble maker". But, i don's mind it because this is me!!hahaha
My hope, this course will be interesting and will give me knowledge and equip me for my future so that i can create interactive and creative learning progress for my students.
